Pres. Rouhani: Everything we have is because our great nation, dear workers' efforts

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Congratulating Labor Day and appreciating the efforts of the Ministry of Energy and all Iranian engineers and workers, the President stated that everything we have is because of the work and efforts of our great nation and our dear workers.

Speaking on Thursday at the opening ceremony of Shohadaye Ilam Dam, Dr Hassan Rouhani stated that water has always been an important issue, the consumption of which is important for controlling coronavirus, adding, "With the outbreak of coronavirus, water consumption in the country increased, which was not predicted, and it is necessary to have a pessimistic prediction for water consumption after coronavirus as well".

Appreciating the Supreme Leader's agreement to withdraw from the National Development Fund for water and soil projects, the President said, "I would like to thank the Supreme Leader for agreeing with the use of the National Development Fund for water and soil projects, especially in border and torrid areas".

Dr Rouhani added, "I hope that these projects, which are a great work for the people of the western parts of the country, including the dear and brave people of Ilam province, will be completed by the end of this year and the end of this government, God willing".

Referring to his plans to travel to Ilam province and meet with the people of Ilam province, which was unfortunately postponed due to the outbreak of coronavirus, the president said, "I congratulate all the people of Ilam province on the inauguration of these major projects".
